An excellent opportunity has arisen for an operations * systems manager to join a leading global asset management organisation. Your role will be to take over the day-to-day management of the Internal Operational Risk system. In time this role will expand to and include the analysis and specification of requirements for enhancements to the internal system. The role will involve User Acceptance Testing and the Technical management of the systems, Initial Analysis and reporting of bugs to the relevant party, you will also assist the Head of the Operational Risk Systems in specifying future enhancements to the Internal system.
This is a hands-on role that would suit a person with an IT background who wants to be more involved in the “business” side and therefore get closer to operational risk. Candidates for this role should have experience of formal change management and user acceptance testing which includes a good working knowledge of Microsoft Access and SQL and also experience of using a business information ‘reporting tool` such as Business Objects. You should have a general understanding of client-server, networks and internet technology, particularly in a Microsoft environment. Candidates with all the above and a general understanding of Operational risk and risk management or any understanding of Asset Management * financial services will be highly favoured for this role.
